CANDY LAND PARADE (Hollywood Boardwalk 2011)

So I remembered that there was something going on the 3rd of Dec so I looked it up and sure enough the Candy Land/ Candy Cane Parade was going on at the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk! We had never heard about it from anyone here so we did not think it was that big of a deal seeing that the other 2 parades we have been to here barely anyone showed up to.. The website said there is usually like 40 thousand people that show up to this so for that reason we decided to head down to the Beach early and eat there on the boardwalk till it started! Well we get down there and wow to our surprise it's alot bigger deal then we thought!! It took us a wjile to find a parking spot and took Jac like an hour to fimd his family one! Every place to eat on the boardwalk was packed full of people so we finally found a place to atleast sit and get it to go and even that took forever and they forgot Ryans moms food geesh what a hasle.. Well we finally caught up with the Spilkers and sat down right as the parade started! The kids loved it and got a tone of candy. It was like Halloween all over again! Paetyn loves Candy Canes so she is stocked on those for a long time. It was very windy and because we were right on the beach witht he wind it made it pretty cold. Not Utah cold ha ha but it was colder then normal for us. They had lots of cool floats but these pics dont really do them justice. A tone of Jeeps ha ha really cool though.. The kids loved dancing and grabbing the candy and collecting all that they could lol! So glad we went next time if we are here we will go allot earlier..
